Salt and Ice
Tasty Oysters, Craft Cocktail Drinks, and More
Looking for a great place to eat or hang out with friends or colleagues after a long day? Salt and Ice BGC is the perfect spot. Located in Uptown Ceremony, it boasts a prime location and offers delicious food and beverages. In fact, it’s quickly becoming one of my favorite places to go in BGC.
If you’re looking for a fun place with a great atmosphere in the city, Salt and Ice BGC is definitely worth checking out. From the decor to the music, every detail has been carefully thought out to create a relaxing space where you can enjoy a cool evening with great food, incredible oysters, and innovative cocktails. No detail is too small here – Salt and Ice truly strives to be a place where you can have a great time.

Salt And Ice BGC: oysters
Oyster lovers, in particular, will enjoy Salt and Ice’s menu that celebrates the quality of Aklan oysters flown in daily. These oysters are always fresh, never frozen, and come in so many different flavors that you’ll want to try them all. “Salt” in “Salt and Ice” represents the ocean and their fresh oysters.
At Salt and Ice BGC, you can find fresh-shucked oysters (served on the half-shell with a splash of vinegar or house-made sriracha sauce), Oyster Tempura (Japanese-style deep-fried oysters with wasabi mayonnaise and Ponzu sauce), Oyster Mornay (crumbed oysters with Napolitana sauce and mozzarella cheese), Oyster Spinach & Malunggay (baked oysters with spinach, malunggay, and cream cheese), Oyster Bacon and Cheese (baked oysters with bacon, cheese, and honey), and Oyster Kilpatrick (baked oysters with bacon and Worcestershire sauce).
Abigael Quilal-lan, Salt and Ice’s operations manager and winner of local and international bartending competitions, explains: “We use Aklan oysters because they are consistently larger in size. At Salt and Ice, we prioritize supporting local produce to ensure the quality of our food.”

Salt And Ice BGC : Craft Cocktail Drinks
The “ice” in “Salt and Ice” represents their amazing craft cocktail beverages. As a true fan of drinks, I sometimes want to skip the beer and wine and just have a great cocktail. Unfortunately, not all restaurants in the City offer great cocktail beverages. Salt and Ice, however, is a place that does. Their top-notch cocktail beverages are crafted by acclaimed bartenders using top-shelf spirits and the latest tools and equipment, which only a few bars in Manila have.
These cocktails are such a pleasure too. Besides taste, they are made in a unique way that makes them both unforgettable and Instagrammable. Their bartenders create forward-thinking, unconventional cocktail beverages, each with their own stories, beautifully served and presented. These are the kind of cocktails you look forward to after a long day. They will liven up any table and any night.
Salt and Ice BGC isn’t just about oysters and cocktail beverages either. They have a wide range of food options on the menu, including Indonesian-style Chicken Satay Skewers, Truffle Mushroom Arancini, Sea Urchin Pasta, Singaporean Chili Shellfish, Wagyu Sliders, Australian Tomahawk Steak, and amazing desserts that are just as spectacular as their cocktail beverages.
Salt and Ice excels at pairing food and cocktails for a perfect combination. When it comes to choosing what to drink with your meal, there are no strict rules. It ultimately depends on your personal preferences. However, Abigael recommends a light and fruity cocktail like the Eternal Rose with fresh oysters, and classic cocktails with flavored oysters.

Salt And Ice: CEO's Vision
Salt and Ice BGC was created to be more than just a bar. The goal was to create a place that celebrates the high quality of Aklan oysters and the talents of their acclaimed bartenders. “It’s basically an oyster bar that also serves cocktails, from the classics to creative combinations designed for discerning customers who want an interactive bar experience,” says Abigael.
“It’s a passion project of our president and CEO, John Michael ‘Mike’ Hilton. He loves oyster bars and well-crafted cocktails. He combined these two in one location,” she adds. “He’s hands-on at Salt and Ice. He shared his ideas when we were developing our cocktails, and he led a team of chefs in brainstorming our main menu selection.”
Mike’s extensive experience in the food and beverage industry was put to good use when he founded Visum Ventures in 2019, bringing the now popular Koomi (a natural drinking yogurt from Australia) to the Philippines. He has since expanded the brand’s portfolio with Oh My Greek, Zig, and Sante by Zig, and is also the exclusive supplier of T2 loose-leaf teas and tea products in the country.
